Hello!

I’m Carole Sandhu, a qualified Dog Nutritionist, BSc(Hons)MSc RD, and the Founder of Dogs Delight.

All the best people agree; life is SO much better with a dog. But, when my own canine companion, Buddy, a rescue Border Collie, became very unwell, I saw him lose energy and happiness and I wanted to help him, but found there was not much information on canine nutrition around.

I already had a wealth of experience in nutrition as a whole, having worked as a Registered Dietitian for over 25 years both in the NHS and in industry. This is when the inspiration came to do further study and as a self-confessed nutrition nerd, I was hooked!

I spent years studying dog nutrition and discovered how complex it really is. I learned how to create feeding plans to manage health conditions and which food and treats were best for encouraging a long and healthy life. And at the end, I was awarded a distinction in Canine Nutrition for my knowledge and skills.

I’ve never been more proud of my achievements, and because I could see first-hand the improvement in Buddy, I knew I had to help as many other dogs as I could.

I started helping my friends’ dogs with their health improvements and then word got round and soon I was advising dog parents on nutrition across the UK. But we had a huge problem, decent good quality dog food and especially treats were really hard to come by.

When I had helped my 100th client make huge improvements to their health I had a sudden realisation that I was really only scratching the surface, I could help far more dog families if I took my knowledge and skills online and that’s when Dogs Delight was born.

Dogs Delight is all about giving you the right information about dog nutrition so you can make an informed decision about what (and how) you feed your canine companion. And we also give you the option to buy it ready made.

So whether you have a puppy or a senior, a dog with liver disease or one who’s carrying a bit of extra weight I’ve taken my wealth of nutritional knowledge and packaged it up into delicious treats so your dog can live their best life.

I have personally selected all of our ingredients, because the quality, variety and provenance matter to me as much as the way we prepare them.

I have created our recipes from scratch and our hand-made treats are all oven baked in small batches in our bespoke bakery in Oakham, Rutland.

This means we can reassure you that your dog gets the very best nutrition in a super tasty range of flavours, which will be helping them live a longer, happier and healthier life.

Since then we have launched a blog where every week I write a new article on canine nutrition, food and feeding. We have our fortnightly newsletter (packed with special offers). I even write a monthly nutrition feature for Edition Dog Magazine.
