Our dog food is made in the UK.
Our treats are hand-made in our bakery in the heart of rural Rutland, using locally sourced ingredients.
Small and medium breeds will reach adulthood by 12-18 months and large breeds between 18-24 months. To move over to adult food, start by adding the new food in one quarter increments, replacing one quarter of usual puppy food and with the adult food so that by day four the dog is fully transferred over to the adult food. You can do this a little slower if you prefer, replacing one quarter every other day.
Our specially formulated adult light food is ideal for helping the adult dog to lose weight. It has the benefit of added L-carnitine which helps the dog to use fat as source of energy, ensuring that muscle mass is maintained.
Our hand-baked treats are suitable for puppies over the age of eight weeks.
Our treats are low in fat and highly nutritious so as a guide up to six per day as part of their energy allowance.
We recommend feeding twice per day which gives an even nutrient distribution over the day.
We do not advise on feeding table scraps to the dog and there are a number of foods which although fine for us, are very harmful to dogs.Foods to avoid include raisins, grapes, chocolate, onions, garlic, bread dough, cooked bones and mushrooms.
You could try softening the dry food with some hot water (not boiling water) not only will this be easier to eat, it will help to release the aroma and may help stimulate appetite. You could also try heating for ten seconds in the microwave which would have a similar effect.
